"morning on the madison" : (yet) another landscape

i tried my hand at another landscape over this last week. i tried to employ some of the techniques i learned (to various degrees) at the workshop given by frank eber. i had painted this scene a few years ago. while that version wasn't too bad, this is much better., proving one can teach an old dog new tricks. i have a way to go in the pursuit of the landscape, but this is at leasy on the road to "not horrible."

  1. Far from horrible, this has a lovely atmosphere of very early morning fishing, with the sun just about to rise . Great depth too, that red dot in the distance seems so far away .
